The name
Cadence
Cadence is the tempo, the rhythm of the boat, the pace of the crew, and the thing that determines the next move. The cadence sets the tone and provides the pace for what follows—and yet, it is nimble. It can shift and respond to what is needed—or it can infuse a jolt of energy—or change the complexity of the piece.
RED Cadence is built on this ethos: to establish a flexible and nimble metronome to help solve challenges.
Without strategy and purpose, design is just design for the sake of making something look good. We’re not interested in that. We strive to understand the ask and create thoughtful design solutions that steward the brand. Equally important, we are pragmatic and as a small business, we understand budgets and timelines.
Founder / Creative Director
Rebecca Donald
With global experiential agency experience and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, Rebecca is passionate about consumer experience, typography, and white space. Understanding the purpose of design is to communicate without getting in the way of the content, she is a fierce steward of brands and sees all projects as part of a larger system.
On the water, Rebecca and her twin sister, Elizabeth were on the Under-23 United States Rowing National Team and in 2010, won a bronze medal in the women’s double in Brest, Belarus. Rebecca is a Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Division I Second-Team All-American.
When not working, you can find Rebecca running along the Charles River training for another race, poring over interior design on Pinterest, or connecting with friends and family—she loves the coming together of people: for sport, a dinner party, or a wedding—these moments of human connection fill her soul.
